What is road hazard damage?

Road hazard damage occurs when a tyre fails due to an irreparable run flat puncture, cut, bruise or impact break during the course of normal driving on a maintained road. An example of a road hazard would be a tyre failure caused by nails, glass or a pothole.

* Tyre damage due to vehicle collision, fire, vandalism & theft is not applicable under this Road Hazard programme.

Replacement for Road Hazard Damage

If a tyre suffers road hazard damage before its tread has worn down to 5.0 mm or within 365 days from the date of purchase (whichever comes first), Goodyear Malaysia will replace it with a comparable new Goodyear tyre or give credit towards the purchase of a new tyre based on the remaining tread depth of the damaged tyre.

If the road hazard damage occurs during the first 10% of the original tyre tread depth (more than 7.0mm tread remaining) or within 365 days from the date of the purchase (whichever comes first), Goodyear Malaysia will replace it with a comparable new Goodyear tyre without cost to consumer.

If the road hazard damage occurs after the first 10% of the original tyre tread depth (less than 7.0mm or more than 5.0mm tread remaining) or within 365 days from the date of purchase (whichever comes first), Goodyear Malaysia will give credit against the purchase of a new tyre.

Replacement value will be based on the Goodyear Malaysia Authorized Warranty Claim Chart available at Goodyear authorized outlets.

** Warranty coverage begins on the date of purchase

What is a Comparable Tyre?
A comparable tyre is a new Goodyear tyre of the same line or, if the tyre is out of production, a tyre with the same basic construction and quality and with a similar sidewall and tread configuration.
