The key to the grip is in the compound
This tyre uses tyre compound technology developed for the racing world such as the D1 Grand Prix. The focus is on maximizing tyre grip at all temperatures, by improving grip at low temperatures and limiting the effects of overheating by means of a sophisticated heat control technology.
The tyre exhibits a spectacular grip right from the start which is maintained even at high temperatures.

Wide centre rib
Increases straight line stability at high speeds and ensures firm control. A narrow groove down the centre keeps the tread cool and limits overheating.
High stiffness block construction
A tread area equivalent to that of a semi-slick tyre and specially designed high-stiffness tread blocks contribute to a firm tyre grip on the road.
Dual Aqua-trail
The two straight grooves near the tread centre channel water away from the contact patch and increases resistance to aquaplaning.
Cooling grooves
Cooling grooves are positioned where the tread heats up the most.
Especially effective in countering overheating during extreme driving such as circuit racing.
Slant grooves
Large, thick, deep grooves which are not only highly effective in channelling water away from the footprint but also increase tyre stiffness by tapering the contact edge and increase grip during cornering.
Tyre-warming indication groove
A thin groove, designed to wear out when the tyre is initially warmed up, can be used as an indication of tyre readiness on the circuit.
